Baby gorilla at Milwaukee County Zoo adjusting well to human-assisted rearing

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Zookeepers say that gorilla baby Zahra has adjusted well to the need of human-assisted rearing after the death of Zahra's mother and father Naku and Cassius.

According to the Milwaukee County Zoo, Zahra is eating well including cooked sweet potato and green beans.

Zookeepers are still caring for her 24/7 and say she is sleeping through the night from her 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. feedings.

The Zoo has sent samples of the two dead gorillas to see if the deaths are connected. The rest of the gorillas are still under quarantine.
