MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Admirals did it again.

The comeback kids of the AHL beat the IceHogs in three straight elimination games to advance to the Central Division finals.

"We found a way to win," said Head Coach Karl Taylor. "It's kind of like our team this year. There's lots of times maybe we didn't deserve a win, but we found a way to win."

The Ads are 11 and 2 in elimination games over the last three postseasons and they haven't made friends along the way. Milwaukee has knocked Texas out of the playoffs two straight seasons, so you know the stars are looking to avoid a hat trick as they start their new best-of-five series.

"Everyone wants to beat us cause we've had some success and that's the way it goes," Taylor said.

"We always want to be seen as the team that should be out there," said Admirals defenseman Spencer Stastney. "One of our mottos is, 'We win here,' so we're hoping to keep that rolling. We've had some good series and good games throughout the years with Texas. I think definitely they're going to be coming for us."

No one knows the Texas stars better than Matt Murray. The All-Star goalie spent the last three seasons there.

"Yeah, I'm excited for it," Murray said. "I have a lot of respect for that organization. I know a lot of the staff, so it's always fun whenever you get to see old faces and friends. So it's going to be a war."

The puck drops for Game 1 Thursday at 7 p.m. in Texas, with the first Ads home game next Wednesday.
