Aaron Rodgers takes $35 million pay cut in new 2-year deal with Jets

NEW YORK, NY (CBS 58) -- The Jets have signed four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a new two-year $75 million guaranteed contract.

This will keep Rodgers inked with the Jets through the 2024 season.

His old deal in Green Bay had nearly $110 million guaranteed.

So, Rodgers took a $35 million pay cut to help the Jets contend for a Super Bowl -- allowing them to bring in more talent.
