MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened on Thursday, Aug. 22. 

It happened around 5:32 p.m. near 83rd and Villard. 

The 27-year-old victim was conveyed to a local hospital and pronounced dead at the scene, according to MPD. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Kingsley IKE. 

A 25-year-old man was taken into custody. 

The circumstances that led up to the incident remain under investigation.
