GREENBAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Wisconsin man is telling his side of the story after his National Anthem flub at Sunday's Packers game went viral.
Frank Hermans sang the wrong lyrics halfway through the National Anthem.
He says there was a last minute cancellation and he was asked to perform the songs.
Hermans says it was the dream of a lifetime and that he'd performed the song at least a hundred times before. During his performance on Sunday, however, he says he became distracted.
"The flag was being pulled out right in front of me, a lady fell, and a guy fell on top of her and all it did for that millisecond was take my brain off track," says Hermans.
Although it didn't go as planned, Hermans says his spirits were raised when his son gave him a big hug after the final note was sung. With that support, Hermans says he's ready for a re-do if given another chance.
