Wisconsin DNR cuts wolf hunting quota in 2014

MADISON -- The Wisconsin DNR has voted to scale back Wisconsin's annual wolf hunt by more than 40%. In 2013, the quota was set at 275 wolves, and this year it will is 156.


Wildlife officials say previous hunts were sufficient in scaling back the wolf population.


\"Well as a lifelong hunter, fisherman, camper, canoeist, I want to see professional managemnt at the Department of Natural Resources,\" said Democratic State Representative Brett Hulsey says, \"Make sure we have scientists speaking out. wolf experts who I've heard have been silenced on this issue.\"
