A driver crashed into the front windows and doors of Anthony's Appliances and Piece of Love bakery at 68th and Lincoln early Saturday morning.
On Tuesday, West Allis Mayor Dan Devine stopped in to continue his Coffee with the Mayor meetings.
"We scheduled this last week, and then over the weekend I saw on Facebook what happened, that a vehicle had hit the storefront. So, I stopped in and talked to Ana and said, 'I think now, more than ever, we should do this,'" Mayor Devine said.
Mayor Devine hopes his visit will encourage the community to continue supporting the small businesses as they recover.
The bakery is now back open for business.
