Wauwatosa police nab Tri City Bank robbery suspect

WAUWATOSA -- A suspect connected to an armed robbery Thursday at Tri-City Bank located inside Pick 'N Save on Mayfair Road has been arrested, according to an update from Wauwatosa police. 

Authorities say the robbery suspect approached a bank teller around 11:00 a.m. February 6 and placed a box in the teller window. The suspect told the teller the box was a bomb, then demanded money before fleeing the store.

The Milwaukee County Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit responded and determined the box was not a danger.

Police announced the arrest Friday morning.

Although they gave few details on where and how the suspect was caught, officials say the department is confident it's the same person seen in a video of the robbery.
