MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Night Market organizers announced the morning of Wednesday, June 24, that the evening's season kickoff has been canceled due to increment weather. Heavy rain is forecast to take place during the event, prompting the cancellation.

A new date of Wednesday, Oct. 7 has been reserved by organizers as a make-up date, though no details about that event have yet been released.

"We were looking forward to opening the season with you tonight, however the forecasted conditions make it challenging to safely set-up and host a successful outdoor event. Although we are disappointed to cancel tonight’s Market, the safety of all Night Market participants is our top priority. We look forward to seeing you next on July 22!" - Westown Association

The July, August and September dates have not been impacted.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Night Market kicks off its 2026 season Wednesday, June 24 with country-western entertainment, dozens of local vendors and new activations along W. Wisconsin Ave.

The market runs from 5 to 9 p.m. between 2nd Street and Vel R. Phillips Ave.

June's Western Night theme features performances from musician Brecken Miles and line dancing group Redd's LineUp, along with bluegrass act Frogwater in a new tent at Baird Community Commons.

The Milwaukee Brewers are hosting an activation featuring gaming, a community mural, vinyl painting and appearances from the Racing Sausages, Bernie and Barrel Man. Additional activities are planned at Vel R. Phillips Plaza and Baird Community Commons.

Reduced $5 parking is available at The Avenue structure. The market's remaining 2026 dates are July 22, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16.
