Water Street Bridge is now open to traffic, two weeks ahead of schedule

The Water Street bridge over the Milwaukee River has re-opened to through traffic, according to the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works.
The bridge has re-opened about two weeks ahead of schedule.
Adjustments were made to the center lock system installed on the bridge this past winter.
The DPW would like to thank the traveling public for its patience and cooperation during this project.
