Watching Saturday for a wintry mix

Over the last several days our long range computer models have put southeastern Wisconsin in a favorable area for a mix of rain and snow for the weekend; however, that trend may be changing to more of a dry forecast.

Both the GFS and the EURO computer models are now keeping those chances just to our west and southwest.  Over the last 24 hours the models have placed the surface low and the attendant warm front further southwest.  If this trend continues the precipitation will likely shift away from the area.

Any wobble in the track could easily change the forecast, and that could put winter weather chances back across the area.  We will continue to watch the trends, but as of now it appears that Saturday could be dry.

Even though we are now in Spring, we still on average pick up an additional 3" of snow through April!
