WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a KFC restaurant near 108th and Oklahoma Thursday afternoon, Dec. 23.
It happened around 2:45 p.m. No other vehicles were involved.
Eyewitness Leonard Hug said he saw "The truck go forward first. He was spinning the tires, then he went backwards, spun the tires for a long period of time. He went forward, into the building he went, and then he tried to come back out again."
Police say the driver and people inside were elderly, and were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The SUV crashed into the restaurant bathroom, but no one was inside. Hug said, "The employees started coming out the windows. They started scrambling everywhere."
Police confirm no one inside the building was injured.
The vehicle has since been removed from the building.
West Allis police are investigating the cause of the crash.
