UW-Milwaukee to host Wisconsin Senate and gubernatorial debates

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will host the Wisconsin Senate and gubernatorial candidate debates this month.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin will face Republican challenger and state Sen. Leah Vukmir on October 8 at 6 p.m. The debate will be held in the Mainstage Theatre at the Peck School of the Arts.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker will debate Democrat challenger and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers on October 26 at 6 p.m. The debate will be held in the Helen Bader Concert Hall in the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts.

Both debates are ticketed events and not open to the general public. Tickets are being distributed through the candidates' campaigns and the event sponsors.
