TSA confiscates record number of guns at airports

TSA agents have confiscated a record number of guns at airports so far this year. 1,931 travelers have been caught trying to board planes with guns in their carry-ons through November 17th, already surpassing last year's total with the busiest travel days of the year are still ahead of us.

The Transportation Security Administration has also confiscated other items, such as cane swords, a live grenade and a few dummy grenades. Most travelers claim they simply forgot about the weapons.

Once caught, travelers are subject to criminal and civil penalties and are referred to local law enforcement.
