Ticket pre-sale for Ice Castles in Lake Geneva
LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- You can pre-order tickets for the Ice Castles coming to Lake Geneva.
If you pre-order, you can get tickets that can be used on any day the Ice Castles are open.
Construction on the Ice Castles started in November. They are expected to be 30 feet high and will open later in December.
Below are some tips from Ice Castles on making the most out of your trip:
Wear Boots! The walking surface inside Ice Castles is made of crushed ice. Walking in boots is definitely best.
Buy Tickets Before You Arrive! When you buy a ticket, you buy an arrival time. Organizers recommend arriving within your 30-minute time window. Once you are inside Ice Castles you can stay as long as you’d like!
Save some trees! When you buy your tickets online you'll get an email with a unique QR code, so there’s no need to print your tickets. The QR code is scanned right from your phone!
Photos are encouraged (Use #icecastles) but it's asked that you leave photography equipment like tripods and lights at home. For information about commercial or specialized photo sessions please email [email protected].
Sleds are better. If bringing small children, it's recommended to bring a small sled instead of a stroller. It is extremely difficult to push a stroller through Ice Castles (think of it like trying to push a stroller on a sandy beach).
