Summer 2015 Temp/Precip Summary

Even though it still feels like summer, the season officially wrapped at the end of August.  So, how did this summer stack up to some long term averages? The graphics below can help with the comparison.

First off, our mean temperature (the average of the seasonal high and low temp) comes in 1.5° cooler than normal.  Also of note, the huge spread of 52° between our extremes of 93° and 41°.

In terms of precip, even with a late surge in August, our seasonal precip was almost 4\" below normal.  This was preceded by a drier than normal spring so our deficit to date is now more than 6.5\"
