St. Patrick's Mass

MILWAUKEE-Before the parade Irish American Catholics gather at St. Patrick's Church at 7th and Washington for mass.

Although the church is now a predominantly Latino parish, it opens its doors to the Irish community each year to share in the spirit and fellowship that is what many consider to be a Holy day.

The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin Pipes and Drums got the mass off to a rousing start.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians and Knights of Columbus also took an active roll in the opening procession.

Members of the Milwaukee Irish Fest Center and local dancers also in attendance to hear Father Terry Brennan of Marquette University give his homily.
