Special Prosecutor Appointed to Represent State in Avery Case

A special prosecutor will represent the state of Wisconsin in the latest case of Steven Avery.

Avery said Manitowoc County officials framed him for the death of photographer Teresa Halbach back in 2005.

Last month, his attorney filed a motion requesting extensive forensic testing on the evidence.

A judge appointed former Milwaukee County District Assistant Attorney Norman Gahn to the case.

He helped prosecute Avery in Halbach's death.
