Saturday Late Morning Update: A little more snow, a lot of cold coming!!
10:30 a.m. Update on January 13th...
The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 3 p.m. for counties north of I-94. A slight accumulation is possible. Watch for blowing and drifting. The advisory expires at noon for everyone else.
Meantime, look at some of the snowfall totals over the last 30 hours or so. Incredible! And then looking ahead to Monday morning, take a gander at the wind chill temperatures. I have a feeling we'll have a Wind Chill Advisory in place many nights ahead this week. Stay tuned.

7:45 a.m. Update on January 13th...
The snow shower activity will continue along with the blowing and drifting today. The snow content is much lighter, so it can blow easier helping to reduce visibility. This will continue for the first half of the day. Then another weak system will stir up a few more snow showers this evening. Total amounts will be 1 to 2 inches additional. Then the cold becomes the headline. Negative wind chill numbers as soon as tonight.
By the way, we still want to see all your storm photos. I really love this one from Germantown. Barbara Henes says her snowblower, unfortunately, is underneath all this snow on her deck. :(
Please send the pictures at [email protected] or via the CBS 58 mobile weather app. It's free to download and very useful.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Winter storms usually have many sides to them. We saw the snowy side on Friday. Now, the chill will be setting up, especially into Saturday night. First things first. We have a chance of snow showers, especially the first part of Saturday and then returning into the evening with an upper air feature accompanying the Arctic air. And with the much colder air in place, look for blowing and drifting possible since the snow content will be much lighter than what we saw on Friday. All the warnings have been dropped. Now it's just a Winter Weather Advisory for the first part of Saturday. An inch or so of additional snow is possible.
A Wind Chill Advisory is then issued for the first part of Sunday (3 a.m. until noon) for the entire viewing area. Look for real feel numbers to be between -20 and -30 degrees. I have a feeling we'll see this advisory reissued for many nights this week. Expect negative lows for much of this week as well. Hope your furnace is working well. At least the weather quiets down after Saturday's snow showers.
