SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- We continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month -- focusing Friday on the new music director of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra.
Ernesto Estigarribia was born in Paraguay and earned degrees from the University of Kansas and Minnesota.
Now, he has been named the music director of the longest continually active orchestra in Wisconsin.
Ernesto is the youngest music director in the 104-year history of the SSO, and only the second Latino director -- something he says he's very proud of.
"Being here in Sheboygan, a community that really has a strong support for the arts, I mean, people are really devoted for arts here, it's quite remarkable," said Estigarribia.
You can watch the full story this Sunday, at 7 a.m. on CBS 58 Sunday Morning.
