MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police have made one arrest in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that killed a 47-year-old man, but investigators are still searching for a second driver.

The family of Troy Lewek is remembering the father and new grandfather they lost while continuing to urge anyone responsible to come forward.

According to police, surveillance video shows Lewek crossing the street Tuesday night near 22nd St. and National Avenue on the city's south side when he was struck by a vehicle. Investigators said that driver kept going. Seconds later, a second red vehicle drove over Lewek and also left the scene.

Police announced that one person has been arrested in connection with the crash. The search continues for the second driver involved.

Lewek's sister, Christina Lewek, said learning of her brother's death left her devastated.

"I just broke down. It's hard," she said.

The family described Troy Lewek as a hard worker, a father of two sons, and a man who had recently become a grandfather.

On Thursday, loved ones returned to the crash site to honor his memory. They placed candles and balloons at a memorial before releasing balloons into the sky in remembrance of the man they said always put his family first.

Christina Lewek pleaded with those involved to take responsibility.

"Whoever hit my brother and just took off, please turn yourself in," she said.

She also called on the public to help investigators identify the second vehicle involved.

"If you guys can look out for the red car, look for dents, anything. That would be very helpful," she said.

As the investigation continues, Lewek said her family is determined to see everyone responsible held accountable.

"My brother needs justice. You will be found, I promise," she said. "If this was your family, you would want somebody to do the same for you and turn themselves in."

Lewek's family has created a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses.
