Sheboygan Police Officer bitten multiple times by pit bull

SHEBOYGAN-- A Sheboygan Officer is recovering after being bitten multiple times by a pit bull.
The officer was speaking with a citizen on a sidewalk in front of a home located on 14th Street near Pennsylvania Ave around 7:00 p.m. Friday.
A pit bull exited the front door of the home and charged the officer.
The officer was taken to Sheboygan Memorial Hospital with injuries to his abdomen and right leg.
He was treated for his injuries and later released from the hospital.
The dog was taken to the Humane Society pending further investigation.
