MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) --Twenty-seven-year-old Erianica Primer was born September 10, 1993, the same day she was gunned down in the year 2020.

“My sister should be here. She should have never died on her birthday," Shavonne Oliphant said. She is Primer's older sister.

Primer was celebrating her birthday at Kiss Night Club in Milwaukee late Tuesday night, September 9. According to her mom, Primer got into an argument with few women inside the club. When she came outside, she was shot. Investigators say she died at the scene.

“We got there, and they didn’t know anything, she never even made it to the hospital," Oliphant said.

With tears in her eyes, Primer’s sister says life just doesn’t make sense anymore.

“She’s supposed to be here. She wasn’t supposed to leave me, she wasn’t supposed to be going like this."

Primer’s family describes her as an intelligent woman and a great mother.

“She has two sons, they just motherless but we’re going be there for them."

As the family wait for more details from police, emotions continue to spike every day.

“She was like all I had here. My mom stays in Texas so since our mom been gone, our bond got stronger . If I needed her to do anything, she did it. She rearranged her schedule for me. She called in for work . If she needed to, she did what she had to do to help me. That’s how we was. She had my back and I had her back.”

And now this family wants to send the Milwaukee community a message

“It’s just sad how things are happening in Milwaukee. Life too short, you got to just cherish life."

Milwaukee police did arrest a 36-year-old man at the scene.

Police say this case will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
