MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Seton Catholic Schools and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee announced on Monday, Sept. 10 that two new school buildings are set to join the Seton family.
The $23 million investment will fund the construction of new facilities at Saint Rafael the Archangel and Prince of Peace schools. This marks the first time in 60 years that the archdiocese has committed to constructing new school buildings.
Archbishop Jerome Listecki emphasized that the investment extends beyond the Catholic community.
"We know that when we develop quality education, rooted in great formation, we produce great citizens, and when you produce great citizens, you have a community, neighborhood, a city that benefits. Benefits far beyond our imagining," Listecki said.
The new building at Saint Rafael will be constructed on the site of the current church, while the new facility at Prince of Peace will be built at the 25th Street campus. Groundbreaking is planned for later this fall, with both buildings expected to open by 2026.
