MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Seton Catholic Schools is out $38,000.
Police say they were the latest victims of an email scam.
According to police documents, a scammer in Africa breached an employee's account.
Through email, the scammer convinced the school to wire $38,000 to a bank account.
The money was gone before the school realized they were being scammed.
Seton Catholic Schools responded to the scam in a statement saying they, "have increased email security and filed a claim with their insurance company."
