Season snow check after big Thursday snowfall

The snow from Thursday is long gone. Any lingering flurries or light snow wrapped up by midnight. Snow reports coming in early Friday morning show a good area of heavy snow in southern Milwaukee County, eastern Waukesha County and northern Walworth County where 8-11" of snow fell. The rest of southeast Wisconsin saw 4-8" including our northern counties.

After picking up officially 5.1" of snow in Milwaukee at the airport Thursday we sit at exactly 26" of snow for the season. That total is 10" more than last year but 9" below the seasonal average. We could use a few more good storms like Thursday's to get back to average.

Friday and Saturday will be great days to do some snow clean up. No additional snow (or rain) is expected, and with lots of sunshine expected we likely see some melting. Sunday features a 10% chance for a flurry or sprinkle. Monday and Tuesday have similar chances.
