Ryan Strnad drops out of Wisconsin governor's race

Strnad for Governor

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ryan Strnad ended his campaign for governor and endorsed David Crowley, according to a Tuesday, Nov. 25 statement released by Strnad's campaign.

"I want to thank every person who supported this campaign," Strnad said in the statement. "I ran to give working class families a voice and to deliver results for communities that have long been overlooked. I believe David Crowley is the candidate who can hit the ground running, fight for families, and begin delivering those results for Wisconsin starting on day one."

Strnad encouraged his supporters to back Crowley. "David Crowley is ready to guide Wisconsin forward, and I am proud to stand with him."

He also said that a run for Waukesha County Executive may be in his future, noting, "I will put my focus on some newly arising labor issues affecting the vendors at American Family Field and contemplate a run for Waukesha County Executive (provided Paul Farrow chooses against a reelection)."
