Dense fog starts off Friday as we get ready for World Series Game 1
Dense fog has returned. We've seen fog almost every morning this week, but it's back in a big way to start Friday. The fog is thickest in lakeside and inland counties but gets better the farther west you go with our western counties seeing closer to 1-3 miles of visibility and Madison not seeing the fog at all.
Here is a look at visibility that will update with time:
A dense fog advisory is currently in effect for almost all of southeast Wisconsin. Jefferson and Dodge County are not included as the fog isn't as bad there. Currently the advisory goes until 10 AM Saturday. Some fog could linger into the afternoon, especially right near the lakefront.
The fog should not be too much of an issue for tailgating at American Family Field for the Brewers in Game 1 of the World Series, but you may notice it off in the distance. Temps will be very pleasant for tailgating in the upper 60s then drop into the upper 50s for first pitch. Few clouds are possible for the afternoon and evening.
The rain chance will increase slightly for Game 2 of the World Series with an isolated stray shower not completely out of the question in the morning and again in the evening. Otherwise, temps for Game 2 will be even warmer with afternoon highs around 70. By Sunday the temps stay warm around 70 with a slight chance for showers.
