Renovated Aldi store in Delavan to reopen August 30

DELAVAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Aldi will welcome back shoppers to its renovated Delavan store when it reopens on Thursday, August 30.

The store, located at 2027 E. Geneva Street, is part of a $1.9 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 Aldi stores nationwide by the end of 2020.

Locally, Aldi says they're investing more than $37 million to update 23 stores in Milwaukee and the surrounding metropolitan areas by the end of 2019.

To celebrate the Delavan store reopening, Aldi will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 8:25 a.m., followed by its popular Golden Ticket giveaway offering gift cards to the first 100 customers. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce.
