Chester Marcol’s incredible story, 45 years later
(CBS 58) – The Red Cross is now testing blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies which could help patients battling coronavirus.
The antibody test results will be available to donors within a week or two following the donation.
The organization says this will help meet the needs of COVID-19 patients, especially as experts express concern going into the winter months.
CBS 58 spoke with American Red Cross Executive Medical Director Dr. Erin Goodhue about the process.
More information can be found on the Red Cross’ website.
