MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It may be a little chilly for a walk in Milwaukee's Lake Park, but east siders may do it anyway now that the park's historic footbridge is back open.
They held an official reopening ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 15.
The bridge was crumbling and vandalized eight years ago when it was closed for safety reasons.
Last year, money was approved by Milwaukee County to repair the bridge.
Now that it's back open, the Lake Park Friends group has committed $300,000 for bridge maintenance.

The Ravine Road Bridge in Lake Park has reopened.
