Pit bull puppy abused and left in garbage in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC -- Pit bull puppies are fighting for their lives after someone poured bleach on them and left them in a garbage dumpster on February 22nd. A neighbor who heard the puppies whimpering found them outside an apartment complex.

That neighbor contacted police and the humane society, they eventually found out where the puppies were born. That's where police found a second puppy who had been hit in the face with bleach, and a third puppy who was not abused. All three dogs are six to eight weeks old.

The two dogs that had been bleached are in foster care, the manager of the Fond du Lac Humane Society says they may not survive.

The humane society says the family was breeding pit bulls for profit. They surrendered the mother and father pit bulls to police. Police plan to press charges against the individual responsible for the treatment of these animals.
