Pabst Theater Group offering 'Elopement Packages' for small weddings
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Couples whose weddings have been impacted by the pandemic might not have to postpone their nuptials after all. Pabst Theater Group is now offering elopement packages at some of Milwaukee’s most iconic live performance venues.
Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater and Turner Hall Ballroom are opening their doors to those ready to walk down the aisle. The packages include getting married at one of the three venues, while celebrating with 10 family members and friends for a maximum of three hours.
“A lot of couples tell me that they have had their first date at one of our buildings at a concert or they got proposed to there," said Ann Lennart, Pabst Theater Group Director of Private Events. "It’s their favorite place to see live shows.”
Pabst is offering optional items like photography and live-streaming for those who aren’t able to attend in person. “They can use the times and the space to take photos afterwards, optional bar service they can add-on, so if they wanna have a few drinks with their family, celebrate afterwards, pop some champagne, they can do that as well,” Lennart said.
Event planners said not only is the elopement package a great option for those who want to keep their initial wedding date -- it’s also stress free.
“The space is so gorgeous on its own, that you don’t necessarily have to worry about those decorations and backdrops and lighting and floral that you were maybe originally planning on having at your wedding.”
Pabst Theater Group plans to hold the elopement ceremonies from June through September.
The packages start at $1,000.

According to a press release, the packages accommodate a maximum of 10 people, including the couple, at one of the above venues for three hours.

Couples will also have optional add-ons including photography and a cash or host bar.
