Since Monday, temperatures have been above average in Milwaukee with highs in the 40s. Thursday will be even warmer as temperatures warm fast during the day with highs hovering around 50 degrees. The high temperatures will cool a bit more into the 30s Friday and Saturday then briefly mild again Sunday before dropping again Monday. The average high is 31 degrees this time of year so through the beginning of next week the highs are all expected to be above average.
The forecast high of 51 on Thursday will come close to the record high of 53 degrees for January 30th set back in 1988. If we can overachieve we can easily tie the record or even break it!
In order to get close to that record warmth for Thursday we will see wind gusts to 30 mph out of the southwest. The wind stays gusty on Friday then lightens up with a breeze lingering on Saturday.
