MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Time trials were held Monday, for the USA Cycling Masters and Junior Road National Championship.
Cyclists from across the country were against the clock in races that ranged from five to 12.5 miles.
The Mount Pleasant trials are one of five different national events in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Executive Director Bill Koch touched on how the sport is a great way to stay active while enjoying the weather.
"If you get out, you have a bike club to join, you have these beautiful bike paths in Southeastern Wisconsin," Koch said. "It's a healthy life sport, right? It's a lifelong sport. Not tough on your joints, and it is just a fun way to go out and enjoy the weather in Wisconsin summers."
Monday's time trials included participants from all ages, even a cyclist who was 97 years old.
