118,000+ We Energies customers without power Monday
CBS 58 Update at 4:55 p.m. on July 27, 2026:
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies is reporting more than 118,000 customers are without power Monday afternoon, July 27.
"We have people not just here but all over the area - our engineering team - really it's two tracks: We're trying to figure out the issues and fix it here but also at the same time reroute power to customers to try to at least get some if not all of the customers back on sooner than we can fix the issue here," said Brendan Conway, spokesperson for We Energies.

Update at 8:55 a.m. on July 27, 2026:
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies released a statement early Monday, July 27 saying that they are still investigating the cause of the Milwaukee-area power outages. The statement says that they will continue to update their outage map as information changes.
"Once the cause is identified, they will work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible," the statement says.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The We Energies outage map is showing a large batch of outages within Milwaukee County early Monday, July 27.
The tall for Milwaukee County is 18,185 customers being without service as of 6:10 a.m.
An estimated time of restoration is currently showing Monday at 10:30 a.m., but that is only an estimate and could change. Customers have expressed concerns to CBS 58 Monday morning due to the forecast of hot and humid air in the area,
