The steamy humidity that rolled in for this past weekend and really got sticky on Sunday will stick around for Monday. Dew points are expected to stay in the upper 70s most of the day. The high dew points will add energy for some strong to severe storms later in the morning hours and again in the afternoon and evening. But, the sticky air is also causing some more immediate concerns with a Dense Fog Advisory issued until 8 AM Monday morning for our southern half of counties. 

The timing for any storms Monday morning continues to trend later. The best window for some strong to severe storms Monday will be from 9 AM - 1 PM. Then we could see more isolated severe storms later in the afternoon and into the evening. 

Any storms that do form Monday could be strong to severe. All of southeast Wisconsin is under a Level 3 Enhanced Risk for that potential. the more likely round of severe weather would be the first round in the late morning. Any storms that do form for a second round in the later afternoon and evening likely wouldn't be as widespread or as strong. 

Damaging wind is by far the biggest threat for any storms Monday, mainly for the first round in the late morning, but also for any severe storms that form in the afternoon/evening. Isolated tornadoes or large hail can also not be ruled out. 

Temperatures on Monday will continue to stay hot. Highs should reach the upper 80s and low 90s depending on where you with highest temps in some western counties and any areas that don't see morning storms. If the morning storms fail to materialize then highs would likely be hotter well into the 90s. Similarly, if storms and clouds linger into the afternoon we could be cooler. 

As mentioned, dew points will stay sticky on Monday. They reach the miserable category on the muggy meter in many areas with dew points in the upper 70s. Those dew points will drop for Tuesday, but it's still going to stay humid with dew points in the mid 60s. More comfortable air is expected to return for Wednesday with dew points in the upper 50s. 

The combination of highs around 90 and very high humidity will push feels like temps to some very warm levels. Some of the heat index numbers Monday afternoon could reach into the 100s, especially for some western counties. Lakeside areas, like Milwaukee, might stay in the 90s or near 100. 

The high feels like temps expected for Monday afternoon has caused the National Weather Service to issue another Heat Advisory for a few western counties: Dodge, Jefferson and Walworth. The advisory starts at 10 AM Monday and goes until 9 PM.
