OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A local man was celebrated in Oconomowoc Friday, for recently bagging an award in a statewide competition.
His name is Paul Dowe, and his game is bagging groceries like there's no tomorrow.
Dowe, a bagger at the Sendik's Oconomowoc store, took home first place in the Wisconsin Best Bagger competition, and is set to compete on the national stage later this month.
Friday morning, Sendik's rallied the community to support him before he heads to Las Vegas.
"I feel, like, very happy for myself," Dowe said. "I'm trying to make Wisconsin people happy. I'm trying to be the best bagger in Wisconsin. Now, the whole country."
Dowe's Vegas bagging showdown is set for Feb. 24 with a $10,000 prize on the line.
