OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The music, festive, the food, oh so flavorful, and the German culture on full display.
Friday, Nov. 25, the city of Oconomowoc kicked off the holiday season with their 11th annual German Christmas Market.
Organizers estimate the three-day market will see close to 30,000 people pass through, looking to take part in the holiday festivities.
"We have sister city in Dietzenbach, Germany and we went over there and thought we could bring that to our community and have an event that just brings people together," said Kathy Kampf, board member of the Oconomowoc German Christmas Market.
The market offered people the opportunity to shop local vendors, for kids to get their photo taken with Santa, and a chance to listen to traditional German music.
The market goes until Sunday, Nov. 27th.
