A new state law was signed by Governor Walker to regulate kickboxing after a local man died two years ago from a fight.
Dennis Munson Jr.'s sister has fought to make sure kickboxing became a regulated sport in the state after his death. Brandy Bryant-Gee says her brother showed signs that he should have been pulled out of the tournament, and died as a result.
She says this new law, would hold officials accountable, and make sure they look out for the well being of fighters, and their health before and during a fight. For Brandy, she says it's a victory her family has been fighting for for two years.
The law goes into effect next year.
