Nelson mows down Mets as Brewers win second straight

Jimmy Nelson threw eight innings and allowed just one run as the Brewers took another game from the New York Mets, 4-1 at Miller Park Wednesday night.

Nelson allowed only a solo home run to Curtis Granderson and a third inning single that was quickly erased thanks to a double play. Nelson struck out five before giving way to Francisco Rodriguez, who threw a scoreless ninth to maintain his perfect season in save situations (15-for-15).

The Brewers go for the three game sweep Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park at 1:10.
