MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is reviewing an officer's use of force.
This, after cellphone video shows a uniformed MPD officer shoving a man to the ground on April 23 near 27th and Kinnickinnic River Parkway.
The video has been making the rounds on social media. It shows two officers approaching the man before kicking around his belongings.
The man then points at one of the officers and the officer responds by pushing him to the ground.
MPD has released a statement in response saying the man threatened to hit one of the officers before he was shoved.
The 37-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure, which is why police were there in the first place, and later cited and released.
The department says it's reviewing the officer's use of force, adding that it takes all internal investigations seriously.
