UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is continuing their investigation into an incident involving a school bus.
Initial investigation revealed that a rock was thrown at the bus.
Milwaukee Police now say that the school bus was hit with a BB gun pellet around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The pellet struck a window and the glass then struck an 8-year-old girl.
The girl was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.
Milwaukee Police are searching for the suspect.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is currently on scene of an incident involving a school bus.
It happened Tuesday morning near 41st and Hadley.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, someone threw a rock at the bus.
There were children on the bus at the time but no one was injured, the Milwaukee Fire Department confirms.
The investigation remains ongoing.
