MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- MPD's District Six is teaming up with community partners to make Christmas special for 10 children who are refugees.
They teamed up with Target and Lutheran Social Services to take those children shopping for gifts.
"Our headquarters team will offer select grants to offer to stores throughout the community and we were fortunate enough to be one of those stores and we've been working a lot since I've been at this store to try and develop the relationship between the police department and the community surrounding us," said Nicholas Sorce, Assets Protection manager in Bay View.
Members of MPD were also on hand to help the children pick out presents for their families and for themselves.
