MPD: 2 dead in overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate overnight shootings that happened not far from each other, and just one hour apart. 

The first shooting happened around 11:23 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17 near 24th and Brown St. 

According to police, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died from his injuries on scene.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.

Milwaukee Police are seeking unknown suspects.

A second shooting happened about 14 blocks away near 38th and Lisbon on Thursday, Nov. 18. around 12:22 a.m.

A 43-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died on the scene.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and is assisting with the investigation.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.

Police have not said if the two shootings were related.
