Milwaukee Woman Carjacked following SUV Being Struck by Another SUV

A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman reported being carjacked on the 1300 block of N. 57th Street around 7:20 PM on Wednesday.

She was inside her parked 2015 Chevrolet Traverse when a car from behind struck her vehicle. The victim got out of her car and was confronted by a suspect who displayed a gun and took her keys. Another suspect joined the first suspect and fled in the victim’s Traverse. A third suspect followed in a Mercury Mountaineer that had been stolen on January 12.

Using the Traverse’s OnStar technology, officers found the car and the three suspects in the 3400 block of N. Holton Street a short time later. The suspects, a 16-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, and a 20-year-old male, were taken into custody and officers recovered a BB gun and a mask from the suspects. The Mercury Mountaineer was also recovered in the 5200 block of W. Galena Street.
