MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – St. Augustine Prep is mourning the loss of Kathleen Ryan, a teacher who was found dead in Illinois on Saturday.
A sign outside of the school reads, “We Love You Ms. Ryan”.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said it found Ryan’s burned car in the Township of Warren with a body inside. On Tuesday, the coroner identified the remains as Ryan.
The sheriff’s office released a statement saying “We know Kathleen was very loved by her family and those who knew her and we are working diligently to find answers for them.”
St. Augustine Prep has counselors and social workers available to support those who knew Ryan.
A private prayer service will be held on Monday.
