Milwaukee man charged after allegedly stabbing man trying to break up fight at bar
RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man at a bar.
Nick Tobias, 45, of Milwaukee is facing charges of Substantial Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to a Cham Tap Bar in Mount Pleasant for a report of a stabbing at the end of May.
Once inside the bar, officers learned that the attacker fled the scene.
The victim, who was bleeding from a stab wound to the arm, provided a description of the attacker. He also told police that he was trying to break up a fight between the attacker and another patron when he was stabbed.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
Witness descriptions and security footage were able to help police identify the suspect as Tobias.
