MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Hunger Task Force is facing a deficit to meet its annual need.
Leaders of the organization said it has seen a significant decrease in community donations and needs $280,011 before December 31.
Hunger Task Force uses community donations to purchase truckloads of food to help supply local food pantries. Leaders say this month the organization helped nearly 35,000 people and provided more than 55,000 meals to area soup kitchens and homeless shelters.
Donations to the Hunger Task Force can be made online, by phone or mail.
