Milwaukee firefighters serve as bell ringers for Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee firefighters not only protect people and property, but serve the community in a variety of ways. 

On Thursday, Dec. 10, they picked up bells and encouraged people to give whatever they could to the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.

Milwaukee police officers will take over Friday, Dec. 11, as bell ringers. 

The Red Kettle Campaign has raised $1.6 million for Milwaukee County so far.
